Account deletion
Roundup — daily puzzle app. Operated as a sole proprietorship.
Delete your account from inside the app
- Open the Roundup app and sign in if you’re signed out.
- Tap the You tab in the bottom navigation.
- Scroll to the bottom and tap Delete account.
- Confirm the dialog. Deletion runs immediately and is permanent — there’s no undo.
The app signs you out automatically once deletion completes. The account, your local play history, and all server-stored personal data are gone.
If you can’t access the app
If you’ve uninstalled Roundup, lost access to your sign-in method, or otherwise can’t reach the in-app flow, email accounts@roundup.day from the address tied to your account. Include the phrase “delete my account” in the subject line and we’ll process the deletion within 30 days (typically much faster).
We may verify your identity by asking you to confirm details only the account holder would know — the sign-in method you used, an approximate signup date, or a recent gameplay event. This is a guard against someone trying to delete an account they don’t own.
What gets deleted
- Account record — email, display name, founding-player flag, timezone, notification preferences.
- Gameplay results — every daily-puzzle submission you’ve made (Connections, Daily Ranking, Hot or Cold, Odd One Out).
- Streaks — your per-game streak history (current + longest).
- Milestone hits — the 7 / 30 / 100 / 365-day badges earned.
- Feedback + reported puzzle issues — any messages you sent via the in-app feedback channels.
- Anonymous-import flags — the marker that says we’ve already migrated your local play history into your account.
- Authentication data — Supabase Auth removes your email + sign-in provider linkage.
- Push notification schedules — the pending streak reminder is cancelled on next app open (or earlier, if the device is online when deletion runs).
What is retained
- Donations — payment records (donation amount, date, Stripe transaction ID) are retained per Stripe’s policy and tax/accounting requirements. Typically seven years. Your name and email are stripped from these rows, but the financial transaction itself stays on file as a legal obligation.
- Aggregate statistics — daily active user counts, total donations, total debt paid down, and similar rollups are retained indefinitely as part of the project’s public debt-payoff record. Aggregates do not include your name, email, account ID, or any other personal identifier — only the count of users / dollars on a given day.
- Crash and error logs — Sentry retains crash data per its standard retention (typically 90 days), after which it auto-purges. Your account ID may appear in crash logs that occurred while you were signed in; these will age out naturally.
Partial deletion
We don’t currently offer partial deletion (e.g. “delete my play history but keep my account”). If you have a specific request, email accounts@roundup.day and we’ll handle it case by case.
EU / UK and California users
Our deletion process satisfies the right of erasure under GDPR (Article 17) and the right of deletion under CCPA. If you’re in those jurisdictions and want to invoke those rights specifically, the email path above is the correct channel — mention GDPR or CCPA in your subject and we’ll respond within 30 days.
