Common issues

I can’t sign in

Roundup uses Sign in with Apple, Google, or email magic link. If the magic link email never arrives, check spam / promotions and confirm you’re using the address tied to your account. If you used Apple or Google, sign in with the same provider you used originally — switching providers creates a new account.

My streak disappeared

Streaks are computed server-side from validated submissions. If your streak looks wrong after a missed day, check whether the auto-applied monthly freeze has been used — you get one per calendar month, applied automatically the first time you miss a day. If you played and the day still didn’t count, email us with the date and the game; we can look at the server logs.

The app crashed or got stuck

On iPhone: kill the app from the multitasking view and reopen. If the issue repeats, send us your iOS version + a description of what you were doing.

On web: hit reload. If a screen consistently fails to load, try a private/incognito window to rule out an extension. Report persistent issues to accounts@roundup.day.

I want to change my display name

From the You tab in the app, tap your display name to edit. Names are visible on leaderboards alongside a four-character disambiguator; offensive or impersonating names can be removed without notice.

I want to play on Android

Android is paused while we polish the iPhone version. The web app at app.roundup.day runs on Chrome for Android in the meantime — same account, same streak, same daily games.

How do I report a puzzle issue?

From inside the app, tap the menu on any game and choose Report puzzle issue. Add a quick note about what looked off — we triage every report.

About the public debt-payoff angle

Roundup is tied to a real, public debt-payoff goal that the operator is paying down. Every puzzle solved by a signed-in player adds $0.02 to a public-accountability counter for the operator’s personal commitment toward that goal. The app accepts no payments, tips, or donations on any platform — the contribution is the operator’s, not yours. The live tracker shows where the total stands; the ledger logs every payment.
