Terms of Service

What this is
Roundup is a daily puzzle app run by a sole proprietor. Playing is free. Donations are optional and go toward the operator’s public debt-payoff goal — not a registered charity.
By using the app, you agree
- You’re at least 13 years old.
- You’ll use Roundup for personal, non-commercial entertainment.
- You won’t scrape, automate, reverse-engineer for malicious purposes, or attempt to game leaderboards via fake accounts.
- Display names you set will be visible on leaderboards. We reserve the right to remove offensive or impersonating names without notice.
Donations
- Donations are processed by Stripe under their standard terms. We never see your card details.
- Donations are not tax-deductible. Roundup is not a registered nonprofit. Funds go directly toward the operator’s personal debt-payoff goal as publicly tracked.
- Refunds: donations are non-refundable as a default. If you donated by mistake or in error, email accounts@roundup.day within 30 days and we’ll refund via Stripe in good faith.
- Monthly cap: the app contributes a capped per-day amount toward the payoff goal. Above the cap, additional engagement still counts visibly but doesn’t increase that day’s contribution. The cap and totals are displayed in-app.
Streaks and leaderboards
- Streaks count consecutive days played, with one auto-applied freeze per calendar month for missed days. Both metrics are computed server-side; client clocks do not affect them.
- Leaderboards display only validated submissions. Anonymous-imported play data appears in your personal stats but is excluded from public rankings.
- We may remove leaderboard entries that appear to be the product of automation or other gaming.
Your account and data
- You can sign in with email, Apple, or Google. The email and display name you provide are stored as described in the Privacy Policy.
- You can delete your account from inside the app (You tab → Delete Account). This permanently removes your data and is irreversible.
Intellectual property
The app design, puzzle content, branding, and codebase are owned by the operator. You may share the daily puzzle’s share grid (the colored-emoji result) anywhere; please don’t republish full puzzle content elsewhere.
Disclaimers
Roundup is provided “as is.” We make no warranty that the app will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that puzzle scheduling is perfect. We may modify or discontinue features at any time. The public debt-payoff totals are reported in good faith but should not be relied upon for accounting or legal purposes.
Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent allowed by law, the operator’s total liability for any claim related to Roundup is limited to the amount you have donated in the prior 12 months (which, for non-donors, is zero). We are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages.
Termination
You can stop using the app at any time. We can suspend or terminate access for accounts that violate these terms. Account termination doesn’t obligate us to refund donations.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the state of the operator’s residence in the United States. Disputes will be resolved in the state and federal courts of that jurisdiction.
Changes
We may update these terms; we’ll announce material changes in the app.
